About the Event
Join us at Prescott for a Sunday Roast on 13th April whilst enjoying a talk from Peter Wright, well known for his work in Formula One motor racing between the 1960s and 1990s.
Peter had a very significant influence on the application of aerodynamics within the sport, particularly in the development of ground effect theory in the late 1970s, while working with Team Lotus.
Credited as ‘one of the elite group of brilliant engineers’, by Clive Chapman, Peter was managing director of Lotus Engineering and technical director of the Lotus F1 team, during its championship-winning years.
After retiring from the front line of the sport in 1994, Peter was employed as a technical consultant to the FIA, and was head of their Safety Commission.
