The Bugatti Owners Club are delighted to welcome the return of competitive events at Prescott tomorrow with the Reopening Meeting, the first of our 2020 calendar.
Since our last event in October 2019, the global Covid-19 pandemic forced the closure of the hill and suspension of all competition – but Saturday August 22 is lining up to be a historic day as we welcome our members back for the first time.
Despite running with a reduced number of cars, we are pleased to have strong entry numbers in the Henney’s Cider Classic Speed Championship, the New Barn Interclub Licence Championship as well as the BOC Members All-Comers Class.
With 85 entries, we’ll be welcoming back the 2019 Henney’s Champion, Les Buck, in his Pringett Mistrale; along with the 2019 New Barn Champion, David Rose, who will be competing in his Lotus Elan. But, it’s a new season and both drivers will be challenged in defending their titles this year!
In the all-comers class, Sean Gould returns to the track in his latest Gould Hill Climb car. The full entry list for tomorrow’s event is available here.
In order to comply with government social distancing regulations, we are unable to welcome spectators back to the hill just yet and all events will be behind closed doors until further notice.
Therefore, the event will be broadcast live on our Facebook and Youtube channels from 1pm tomorrow – so you won’t miss a thing!
BOC Council Members would like to thank all competitors, marshals and members for their support and patience during these challenging times and we look forward to welcoming you back to the hill as our revised 2020 competition calendar gets underway.
Looking forward to being there tomorrow!
