Our next event at Prescott offers multiple opportunities for women to get involved in motorsport through hill climbing. The weekend of the 26th & 27th April we welcome the opening round of the British and Midland Hill Climb Championships, fancy coming and seeing what it’s all about?
On Saturday 26th April, Prescott will be hosting a taster day for Girls on Track UK where we have 10 women joining us who are looking at getting involved with marshalling at hill climb events. These ladies will be partaking in numerous activities throughout the day, such as attending marshals briefings, undertaking a hill walk with Prescott’s Chief marshal and shadowing key officials throughout the day to develop an understanding on how a hill climb is run. On Sunday 27th, as part of their IntoSpeed program, the British Women Racing Drivers’ Club (BWRDC) will be hosting a social/familiarisation event. Hill climbing not only offers thrilling motorsport action but also a great social experience. It’s an opportunity to understand how a hill climb event is run and to meet the team, fellow BWRDC members and like-minded enthusiasts whilst learning more about hill climbing, which is one of the most accessible forms of motorsport. You can enjoy behind-the-scenes insights, discuss techniques and soak up the atmosphere of an iconic event, making it the perfect blend of motorsport and community. Join the BWRDC at their hub in the Clubhouse at Prescott any time from 10:00am onwards - look for the BWRDC flags!
For Sundays social, please register your attendance by emailing bwrdcintospeed@gmail.com by Friday 11th April so free entry can be arranged to interested ladies (tickets are limited and will be allocated on a first come basis).
