We are not yet over the thrills of Rallye Prescott 2024, are you? We had a record-breaking number of spectators this year, so thank you everyone for supporting what has become a true highlight to end the hillclimb season!
A big thank you to our bumper entry list of competitors and demonstration cars bringing the unique wow factor to the event. And also a huge thank you to the marshals, who work tirelessly ensuring the cars run smoothly and safely up the Hill.
Moments to remember ✨
The ‘fastest time in the darkness’ record has finally fallen! Scott Moran held the record for the last two years but this year, in his father’s R5 Skoda on his last run of the day, he smashed it yet again with a time of 43.72 seconds!
The forum celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Metro 6R4 on Friday night was a blast! We heard tales from rallying legends such as Mike Broad, David Llewellin and Ian Grindrod and laughed the evening away over a delicious two-course meal in the Clubhouse.
The spectators voted for their ‘paddock favourite’. The winners were the Lancia 037 and the Audi Quattro - why are we not surprised?!
People gathered round the Start line to watch David Llewellin take to the Hill in a demo run in the iconic Metro 6R4. I think most would agree that David has still got style.
The battle between Scott and his father, former British Hillclimb champion Roger Moran, as they double drove their R5 Skoda certainly captured a few people’s attention. Roger set a 43.65 in his first timed, but it was Scott who came out on top by a nose, with an impressive 43.17 – fastest time of the day.
Those standing at Ettores in the darkness when Eynon Price lit up the track (as well as his tyres!) would have seen him flying round the corner, both rear wheels planted firmly in the gravel exiting the corner in style. Eynon made an impressive recovery and took away a first class award later in the day.
• Other winners throughout the day:
Mark Maynard | Hillman Imo
Mark Linforth| Ford Escort
Harvey Waters | Ford Sierra
Martin Watts | GTM Coupe
Ian Moss | Ford Escort
Roger Taylor | Ford Escort Mk2
Stephen Moore | Mitusbishi Evo 6
Eynon Price | Skoda R5 Fabia
Andrew Feakins | Renault Clio
